What is involved with the installation of sipVine's on-site digital phone service platform?
Once the equipment is delivered to your location, set up does not take long. The sipVine technicians configure the platform and the phones per a design template. Then, it is a matter of connecting the system to the Internet or to the public telephone network. Support training is provided to your system administrators and general use training is provided to your overall staff.
Can we connect remote offices and employees to our system?
Absolutely! Even if your remote offices or employees are in a different city or state, sipVine's on-site digital phone service can treat them as if they were right there on location. They can have phone numbers that are "local" to them or even local to the host site, whatever you choose. You can centralize your reception activity and everyone can extension dial each other as if they were right down the hall.
We already have Sip Phones, so do we have to buy new phones?
We will evaluate your current phones and work to minimize the capital outlay wherever possible. If you currently have IP enabled phones that are not locked to a particular IP PBX vendor, it is very likely that we will be able to support them.
What are the additional charges after installation?
sipVine can provide the dial tone to your facility via our Sip Trunks, or you can bring in a traditional PRI with some additional equipment on site. There is a monthly fee for each Sip Trunk, which can be provisioned exactly to your call volume, thus becoming more economical than purchasing PRIs in a block of 23 channels. Finally, we have a small service contract for our tier 2 help desk support that is determined by the number of phones on your system.
Is the system easy to use?
Absolutely! Our founders have worked with numerous phone platforms over the years and have developed an easy to use interface with our system. Your system administrators will find this much easier to use than most systems, with many more time saving processes built in. Your end users also have a portal to the system to build custom contact lists and other nice end user applications.
Is the system reliable?
Our standard configuration calls for two servers built in a mirror image of each other. One is active while the other is "on call" if there ever is a hardware issue with the active server. In that event, the passive server takes over immediately with no administrative interface required. Our technical engineers also work with you to design your platform to the level of redundancy you require.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. sipVine will move, or port, your existing phone numbers over to our digital phone service. There is no interruption in service while the numbers are being transferred from your existing phone provider over to sipVine.
How about sound quality? VoIP calls I’ve received sound “tinny,” or like the caller is in a cave.
Similar to our Hosted service, we deploy our VoIP QoS technology in our On-Site platform. Rest assured, your calls will always be clear and crisp.
Is there a guarantee? A warranty?
The phones and the platform have a one-year warranties. Additionally, our Tier 2 support team is on call 24/7 to serve all of our On-Site Digital Phone Service clients’ needs!
