If you are currently experiencing intermittent service with your internet, it will be impacting both your phones and your computer network.

Otherwise, your calls will still be answered by the automated attendant so your customers will be able to leave messages.

Rebooting Your Router

Occassionally, when there has been an internet outage in your area, the internet will come back on and the phones are not registered. To quickly rectify this, it involves a power cycle of the network.

Follow the steps below. NEVER press the reset button on your router, as that will return it to factory defaults and lose the sipVine Quality of Service modifications:

  • Unplug the power cord feeding the internet modem as well as the power cord to your router provided by sipVine. Wait 45 seconds.
  • Plug in the power to the internet modem. Allow it to fully boot up.
  • Plug in the power cord to the router. When it is fully booted up, the phones will be registered. If this doesn't work, please contact our technical support.
